The Role
An exciting new opportunity has opened up for a position of Signalling Engineering Manager. The successful applicant will play an integral part in keeping operational safely and reliably. As the most senior signalling engineer within the business, this role sets the standards, leads the asset management and day to day operation of the signalling team within the industry. This role manages engineers, designers, technicians and a small works team.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A relevant professional engineering degree Leadership experience within the transport industry in signalling infrastructure systems and protected level crossing warning systems.
- People management skills with the ability to empower teams and individuals.
- The ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
The person in this role will drive continuous improvement in both engineering and asset management activities within the branch, whilst also ensuring a high level of quality and transparency in their activities. This person must also have the ability to work some unsociable hours, including after-hours callouts.
