Our client is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of App Team Lead. This pivotal position involves leading a team of back-end, front-end, and test engineers in the development and support of our consumer applications.
Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering, including leadership roles, they will demonstrate proficiency in both mobile application technologies (e.g., React Native, iOS, Android) and back-end technologies (e.g., NodeJS).
In addition to technical expertise, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving and project management, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities include leading and guiding the team, setting clear goals and priorities, implementing best practices for testing and quality assurance, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for product improvement. The App Team Lead will also play a key role in mentoring team members, staying updated on industry developments, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
