We are working with a software development company who make measuring and analysing data easy for mining companies. This is a hot topic. Their products are being eaten up by miners who realise that the key to making operations smarter (and more profitable) is data.
We are now looking for an Application Support Engineer to join them on this journey. The team is a sociable bunch who respect each other and work well together, so it goes without saying that they have asked us to find someone who is a great communicator and keen to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure business application stability and performance are engineered and maintained.
- Responsible for undertaking detailed investigations to identify root causes/fixes for complex technical issues.
- Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and technology partners to improve application performance.
- Ownership of incident/problem/request records and responsibility for maintaining current statuses in the service management tool.
- Performing analyses on software application functionality and recommending improvements.
What skills are we looking for:
- Either experience of working as an Application Support Engineer where you have performed small changes and fixes to applications, or as a System Engineer supporting an SQL and Azure environment who would like to move into the apps space.
- Their technical environment includes SQL Server, AngularJS, React, ASP.net MVC, C# and javascript.
- Skills within Azure, cloud deployment will be highly regarded.
