We’re looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join a leading resources organisation progressing a decarbonisation initiative.
The role will support the development and approval of technical documentation for new assets, working closely with project teams and operational stakeholders to ensure documentation is complete, accurate and ready for Operations to use when new equipment and infrastructure are handed over.
About the Role:
- Develop and manage technical documentation for new mobile equipment and infrastructure.
- Work closely with project teams, technical specialists and operational stakeholders to gather and confirm information.
- Prepare documentation required to support the operation and maintenance of new assets.
- Coordinate document reviews and approvals with relevant stakeholders.
- Review documentation to ensure it is accurate, complete and aligned with operational requirements.
- Maintain document registers, version control and approval processes.
- Identify gaps or issues within technical documentation and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
About You
You’re an experienced Technical Writer with a strong understanding of mining operations and maintenance environments.
- Experience working as a Technical Writer, Technical Author, Documentation Specialist or similar.
- Previous experience working as a Technical Writer within a mining operations or maintenance environment is required.
- Experience developing technical documentation for mobile equipment, fixed infrastructure or other operational assets.
- Understanding of the documentation required to support the operation and maintenance of assets.
- Experience working with technical specialists, engineers, maintenance teams and operational stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents through review and approval processes.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with document management systems and version control.
