About the Role
You will be responsible for the stability, security, performance, and ongoing evolution of the university’s ServiceNow platform. Working within a collaborative ICT environment, you’ll combine platform administration expertise with strong development capability to deliver new features, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires genuine ServiceNow development experience — not just generalist development skills.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
  • Maintain platform stability, performance, and usability across all environments
  • Proactively monitor performance and implement remediation strategies
  • Provide incident and service request support
  • Lead platform upgrades and lifecycle management
  • Manage security, roles, and access controls
  • Confirm technical design and integration requirements for data exchange
Platform Development
  • Design, configure, and develop applications and services within ServiceNow
  • Deliver new functionality across the full development lifecycle
  • Develop integrations using web APIs and modern integration patterns
  • Ensure alignment with IT Service Management best practices
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You are a dedicated ServiceNow professional with strong platform knowledge and development capability. You understand enterprise IT environments and can confidently engage with both technical and functional stakeholders.
Essential Experience
  • Degree in ICT (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience administering and developing within ServiceNow
  • Strong JavaScript proficiency (or similar scripting languages)
  • Experience working with web APIs and system integrations
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise IT systems and software environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication capability
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Highly organised with a strong outcomes focus
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ITIL Foundation certification
Applications without demonstrated ServiceNow development experience are unlikely to progress.
