We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of engineering delivery - coordinating teams, driving performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to scope.
- 18 month fixed-term contract, extension / conversion to FTE based on performance
- $160-190k + super
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll play a critical leadership role in coordinating engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
- Coordinate and oversee engineering delivery across multidisciplinary teams for assigned projects
- Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet delivery targets
- Manage engineering scope, priorities, resources, and schedules
- Oversee design reviews, Safety in Design, and engineering compliance
- Manage technical queries, engineering change, and design deliverables
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Drive project performance, reporting, and technical outcomes
- Support site works, commissioning, and project closeout
- Mentor and support junior engineers and team development
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes
What you’ll need to be successful in the role:
- Full Australian working rights – this role offers no form of Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. Applicants that require sponsorship will not be considered.
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic Engineering (or similar)
- 10+ years’ experience in engineering project delivery
- Background in telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, defence, or infrastructure
- Proven experience in EPC environments and large-scale project execution
- Strong knowledge of engineering design, delivery processes, project scheduling, estimating & reporting, contract scope and change management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex deliverables
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility (Engineers Australia) – HIGHLY REGARDED
