The Role
A global mining company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver two new digital products in its rail operations domain:
- A rail crew and rostering optimisation tool.
- A coordinator planning and task scheduling tool that gives real‑time demand and supply views and automates crew allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of rail optimisation and rostering software projects.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and issues to clear milestones.
- Coordinate vendor, internal technical teams and subject matter experts.
- Oversee solution and integration design into existing systems and workflows.
- Control scope creep and manage complex stakeholders in an operational environment.
- Support change and adoption for frontline and operational users.
- Strong track record delivering software/digital projects in complex enterprises.
- Experienced in multi‑party delivery, including external or offshore vendors.
- Solid core PM skills: planning, governance, reporting and financial control.
- Comfortable working with architects, engineers, UX and BAs on design and integration.
- Confident communicator who can influence, challenge and align stakeholders.
- Experience in rail, transport, logistics or crew/rostering systems.
- Background in resources or heavy industry.
- Hybrid PM/BA skill set and/or an engineering or technical background.
