About the Role
A Product Owner position is available within a growing organisation entering a key phase of commercialisation, following a strong period of research and development.
The requirement has arisen to improve operational efficiency and introduce a more structured software development lifecycle. Currently, Product ownership responsibilities are distributed across the COO, CTO, and senior leadership, and this role has been created to centralise that function, drive consistency, and take ownership of the product direction.
The organisation is working on complex software platforms within the medical sector, with multiple modules and interdependencies across the product ecosystem. Upcoming projects include expansion into US-based markets, making this a critical time to join the business.
You will operate as the central point of ownership across the product, responsible for managing the backlog, driving prioritisation, and aligning delivery with business and market requirements. You will work closely with engineering, design, and clinical stakeholders to ensure the product evolves in line with both user needs and commercial objectives.
This role will suit a Product Owner who can balance technical constraints with user outcomes, operate confidently across stakeholders, and take ownership of product direction within a collaborative environment.
This is a permanent position within a business that is moving from R&D into commercial delivery, with strong growth and progression opportunities.
You Should Have
• Around four to seven years of commercial experience in Product Owner or Product Management roles
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Strong ability to balance technical constraints with user and business needs
• Experience working with complex software platforms with multiple interdependencies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Technical Requirements

• Experience working in Agile teams (minimum four years)
• Product Owner or Product Management experience (four to seven years ideal)
• Strong experience using JIRA, Confluence, and JSM
• Ability to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate with engineering teams
• Experience managing product backlogs and prioritisation
Nice to Have
• Healthcare or medical imaging experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving capability
• Stakeholder management experience
• Understanding of regulatory environments and their impact on product development
Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage the product backlog
• Ensure clear prioritisation aligned with business goals and market requirements
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and clinical stakeholders
• Translate business and user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product demonstrations
• Drive product strategy and roadmap alongside the leadership team
• Gather user feedback and inform product decisions
• Monitor product performance and ensure issues are translated into actionable work items
• Ensure delivery timelines and quality standards are met
Team and Reporting Structure
You will report primarily to the COO and work closely with the broader leadership team.
The wider team consists of approximately eight developers, alongside executives, marketing, consultants, and a UI/UX consultant.
The environment is highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on cross-team alignment and in-office interaction.

• Strong preference for in-office collaboration and team engagement
