Engineering teams across the business rely on artifact management to ship securely and at scale. Over time, multiple legacy instances have evolved, creating fragmentation across repositories, access controls and pipelines.
Your mission:
Design, consolidate and uplift the enterprise artifact management capability onto a governed, production-grade JFrog Artifactory platform.
You’ll own the architecture end-to-end, from target state design through migration, automation, reliability engineering and operational handover.
If you enjoy solving complex platform problems and leaving behind sustainable, well-documented systems, this role will suit you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Architecture & Platform Design
- Define and implement the Artifactory target state (HA/DR, scalability, replication, operating model)
- Design for corporate and network-segregated/OT environments
- Establish secure connectivity patterns across infrastructure domains
- Migrate legacy repositories, users, groups and permissions across:
- Docker, PyPI, npm, Maven, NuGet, Helm, Debian/RPM and more
- Ensure minimal disruption to consuming engineering teams
- Build infrastructure and configuration using Terraform
- Automate via JFrog APIs
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Embed repeatability and governance from day one
- Monitoring, alerting and dashboards (Grafana/Prometheus/Loki)
- Backup/restore validation and DR testing
- Production-grade runbooks enabling long-term support by others
- Partner with networking, infrastructure and security teams
- Communicate technical risks and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
- Own the problem space from discovery through production
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Deep hands-on artifact management experience (ideally JFrog Artifactory) at scale
- Strong knowledge across package ecosystems (Docker, PyPI, npm, Maven, NuGet, Helm, Debian/RPM)
- Artifactory administration (RBAC, permission targets, HA/clustering, LDAP/SAML integration)
- Advanced Terraform module design
- Strong Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, S3)
- CI/CD expertise with GitHub
- Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Identity & access management (Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, SAML)
- Proven track record delivering complex technical migrations
- Experience in air-gapped or OT/ICS environments
- Familiarity with Purdue Model / ISA-95 / IEC 62443
- JFrog Xray & Distribution
- OpenShift
- Observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
- Exposure to platform engineering tooling (Backstage, Humanitec, Port.io)
