We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading resources organisation, supporting a pipeline of digital initiatives across rail and mining operations.
This is a Perth-based contract opportunity, offering the chance to work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams and technology professionals to improve processes and support the delivery of practical digital solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys understanding complex business problems, challenging existing ways of working and helping organisations translate operational needs into effective technology and process improvements.
Working across digital delivery and business change, you’ll play a key role in gathering requirements, analysing processes, supporting solution design and helping stakeholders prepare for the implementation and adoption of new ways of working.
About the Role:
- Engage with business and operational stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and improvement opportunities.
- Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements to support digital initiatives.
- Map current-state processes and develop future-state process designs to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities to challenge existing processes and ways of working.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria where appropriate.
- Work closely with technical teams and project stakeholders to support solution definition and delivery.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions and requirements sessions to establish shared understanding and agreement.
- Support testing activities, including requirements traceability, validation and business acceptance.
- Assist with technical change management, stakeholder communication and operational readiness.
- Support implementation activities to help ensure new processes and digital solutions are effectively adopted.
- Maintain business analysis documentation and communicate progress, issues and key findings to relevant stakeholders.
About You
- You’re a proactive and analytical Business Analyst who can work comfortably with business stakeholders and technical teams to support digital delivery and meaningful process improvement.
- Experience as a Business Analyst across digital, technology or transformation initiatives.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation and process mapping skills.
- Experience identifying process improvements and translating business needs into practical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for better ways of working.
- Experience supporting solution delivery, testing, implementation or organisational change.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across business and technical teams in a changing environment.
- Experience in resources, mining, rail or other complex operational environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
