Working alongside our client’s key stakeholders to design and implement ICT strategies and solutions, the Technical Architect is primarily an expert in the IT field who aids in the implementation, design and distribution of cloud computing systems and software. Your day –to-day life will include but is not limited to:  

• Evaluating cloud application, hardware and software, while considering strategic goals of reduced overall maintenance (SaaS over PaaS over IaaS) 

• Contributing to the management and maintenance of our client’s cloud architecture, including identifying services & uplifting opportunities that would aid in improving the alignment of their cloud platform 

• Designing ICT solutions that are strategically linked to our client’s business needs, direction and support the IT digital strategy. 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS  

To be successful in applying for this role, our client is looking for candidates with a relevant qualification in Information & Communication Technology, or heavy experience in the relevant field. You will also have proven experience with Cloud Platforms, including AWS, Google and Microsoft. Ideally, the candidate will have: 

• Knowledge of data concepts and associated infrastructure & tooling associated with curation, ingestion, transformation & publication methodologies 

• Ability to provide architectural guidance and advice at a subject matter expert level of capability, on large scale AWS management concepts including Service Control Policies, Identity & Access Management, Control Tower and Identity Federation 

• Working knowledge of AWS developer toolsets and infrastructure as code concepts used to produce, uplift error check, maintain and deploy workloads on AWS cloud platforms  

• An understanding of ICT architecture & design approaches (concept, logical, physical) 

• Experience working in a large complex environment, and data/Infrastructure as code (IaC technologies is desirable but not required.
