Job Description

Distributed insurance products to the largest e-commerce sites globally via a B2B platform. 

To deliver on our vision, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to help drive effective outcomes and efficient processes with our Product and Finance teams. This BI Analyst role will initially report into a Lead Software Engineer within the Product Team. You will work closely with the Software Engineering team (Python application developers and Data engineering) and other teams in a cross-functional capacity. The role will have significant engagement with the Finance team, in particular the Group Financial Controller. You will have a strong understanding of data and analytics and how to use both to achieve business and customer objectives.

Mandatory

 

  • University degree in a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence/Business Analyst role or equivalent

  • A self-starter with a proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary and cross-functional team

  • Strong SQL knowledge, with a focus on data and analytics

  • A good communicator, who is able to take complexity and communicate it in a clear, concise and logical manner

  • 1+ year basic understanding of Python coding language

  • Strong analytical style and an active problem-solver who can creatively and practically articulate solutions

  • Proficient in Tableau or Looker

  • Strong Excel skills with a particular focus on automation (creating macros & complex formulas and programming VBA & scripts) and experience managing data in a logical and structured way

  • Strong process management experience - able to take initiative and independently deliver to tight deadlines

  • An effective and inclusive stakeholder manager, able to unite ideas and shared cross-functional objectives

  • Welcomes new ideas, whilst also being a practical planner - able to plan and execute strategically and operationally

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured thinker

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in related field

  • Understanding and/or experience in the Insurance Industry
